WanderOn Reviews: Bali, Butterflies and the Honeymoon We’ll Always Remember
A honeymoon should feel easy, and we wanted ours to be about the two of us: romantic evenings and quiet moments together. We got married in March 2026 and travelled to Bali in April 2026 for a 5-night, 6-day honeymoon: four nights in Kuta, one night in Lovina in the north, and a plan that mixed those private moments with a few big sights. We unpacked only twice in six days, and that alone felt like a gift. Before booking, we had compared several Bali honeymoon packages for couples and read a few online WanderOn reviews after being recommended by our friends. Their Bali reviews gave us the confidence to book the trip we had always dreamed about. This plan stood out because it offered unhurried days, included entry tickets, and provided room to sit somewhere beautiful and do nothing.
How the Bali Trip Planning Went
Planning took far less effort than we expected. Once we chose the “Dreamy Honeymoon Tour Package to Bali” from the available Bali tour packages, the team sent a short form about our dates, our pace, and the things we cared about. A member of WanderOn’s Bali expert team then called to ask how full we wanted the days to be. We said slow, and the plan reflected it. Pickup times for each day arrived on WhatsApp, so we always knew when the driver would be at the hotel, and someone was always a message away.
Our First Night in Bali with a Lot of Giggles
We landed at Ngurah Rai Airport with the strange feeling of being newly married and very far from home. A man from the team was waiting with our names on a sheet. The drive to Kuta was the first time either of us felt we could finally relax. Dinner at the hotel was by candlelight. We tried to be romantic and lasted about two minutes before one of us started laughing. We spent the evening giggling over our first proper meal as a married couple, with a candle flickering between us. Nothing else was planned that night, and we were glad about it.
What We Had Worried About
While researching and going through many Bali reviews, my husband Nitin had two small worries. The first was language, since we imagined ourselves pointing at maps and repeating words. The second was the long drive to the east in the plan. Neither became a problem. Our drivers spoke fluent English and told us which spots were best for photos and when to arrive. The team had planned rest stops into the long days, so we had time for coffee, a stretch, and a look at the scenery. The drive east was as scenic as a few WanderOn reviews of Bali had described it, and everything ran so smoothly that Bali felt familiar almost from the start. That ease is what we would want any couple choosing this trip to experience.

Seeking Blessings at Two Temples
The temple day was set aside for seeking blessings on our married life, and Pura Lempuyang Temple came first. It is known for its Gate of Heaven and for views of Mt. Agung, which is considered the most sacred mountain in Bali. We then walked through the Tirta Gangga Water Palace, built as a place of meditation for the royal family, and took our pictures on the carved rocks set in the fish pond and finished with a coffee at the cafe on the grounds.
Uluwatu, After the Sun Went Down
If you ask us for one memory, it is the evening at Uluwatu. The temple sits on a cliff, and we stood there watching the sun slide into the ocean. That moment felt dreamy. We could never have imagined seeing it in person, and WanderOn made it possible. Then the Kecak dance began in the open theater: a circle of men chanting, a fire in the middle, the story of the Ramayana playing out in front of us. We did not follow every word, and we did not need to. On the drive back, we kept talking about the fire and the chanting.
The Dolphins in Lovina
Lovina is calmer than Kuta, and the black sand beach felt like a deep breath after the busy south. We took a small boat out early in the morning, the timing most Bali travel reviews recommended. For the first twenty minutes we saw nothing, and we joked that even the dolphins were on holiday. Then they appeared, three or four at a time, jumping close to the boat. We were so caught up in watching them that we forgot to take a photo. Apart from that one moment, we enjoyed the Bali swing to the fullest, and we have the photos to remember it. Swinging out over the valley felt surreal.
What We Would Tell Another Couple
Pack light and wear shoes you can walk in, because the temples have steps. Carry a little cash for small purchases. Do not try to see everything. When choosing a package, ask whether entry tickets and transfers are included, because that is what keeps the days easy. We wanted a romantic, beautiful start to married life, and Bali gave us exactly that.
